After obtaining a doctorate from Loughborough University’s Sports Technology Institute, Dr Hannah joined Insigneo in July 2014. His PhD research involved using biomechanical analyses to develop a finite element model of a shod human footstrike and was supported by the adidas Innovation Team. As part of adidas’s Doctoral Placement Programme he completed four three-month placements with their team in Herzogenaurach, Germany. Prior to his PhD he obtained a Masters in Mechanical Engineering with German from the University of Sheffield. This included one year of study at the Technische Universität Dresden, Germany. Outside of work, his interests include a wide range of sports but primarily cross-country running, football and cycling.
