Eugene McCloskey is a Professor in Adult Bone Disease in the Department of Human Metabolism. His main research interest is osteoporosis being one of the key developers of the osteoporosis fracture risk assessment tool (FRAX). He has designed and participated in many clinical trials in the fields of osteoporosis and other bone diseases. He has attracted total research funding since 2007 of 12.8M. He is the Sheffield Director of the MRC ARUK Centre for Integrated research in Musculoskeletal Ageing (CIMA). He is President-Elect of the Bone Research Society and a Board Member of the International Osteoporosis Foundation. He will advise on clinical translation of the computational platform.
Professor McCloskey is the leader of Work Package 8. Clinical Study, he is also a member of Work Package 9. Hypermodelling Integration and Framework Developement.
