Tim Skerry is a Professor of Orthopaedic Biology and Head of the Department of Human Metabolism. His primary research interest is in the molecular responses in bone to mechanical loading and identification of therapeutic targets for anabolic therapies. He has attracted more than £3M in the last 10 years. Professor Skerry is Chair of the Age UK Research Advisory Committee and Vice-Chair in the MRC/BBSRC Lifelong Health and Wellbeing panel. He will provide the connection with biological research.
