Yang Zhang received a BEng in Electronic and Control Engineering from Chang’an University (China) in 2011 and an MSc in Control Systems Engineering from the University of Sheffield (UK) in 2012. she received a PhD in Automatic Control and Systems Engineering from the University of Sheffield (UK) in 2017. Her PhD research, funded by the Harry Nicolson Postgraduate Research Scholarship, focused on a dynamical systems modelling framework for breast cancer cell motility and morphology analysis.
Yang is currently a post-doctoral research associate in the Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering, the University of Sheffield. Her research interests include statistical analysis, multi-scale analysis and system identification on life science and healthcare associated real-world data,
Yang is a researcher for Work Package 6. Non-linear Complex Systems where she is developing a framework for separation of growth and bone remodelling at tissue scale.
